Miracles

Sleep deficiency keeps me high.:)
But that's hardly the point of this post.

Two days it has been, since I had eight hours of sleep. The first time was because I had to accomplish a term paper for marriage, uh..it's a 3-unit subject, stupid right? And the next was simply because I could not sleep.

I was hoping I could sleep in late today but then I remembered that I have an appointment with my dentist for my upcoming "surgery", this coming Friday. Darn wisdom teeth. I had a panoramic x-ray and it showed that the root of my tooth touches a nerve which would cause more pain and discomfort for me. So Doc Connie told me that they--pertaining to herself and the surgeon, would have to use a higher dose of anesthesia. Yikes.

So after that I went to SM to have my pimples remedied. Facials are painful procedures one has to endure all for the sake of graduation pictures. I also bought my sister a late gift, a tumbler.

And so we come to the interesting part. When I got home from SM, Rhea texted me. I told her I wanted to buy something new to wear. We were debating on whether we should go to UK, but then, Joplanne couldn't go so UK was out of the question. Her presence is necessary. Haha! And then, Rhea asked me if I wanted to go watch UAAP in Araneta. La Salle versus UST. Pretty interesting. We asked a bunch of other people if they wanted to come with us, but in the end only the two of us were able to go. We texted Andrew and they were already in Araneta so we asked them to buy tickets for us, Lower Box worth 250. Hehe.

When we arrived at Araneta, we got the tickets from Andrew and Ray only to find out that the tickets were at the La Salle side of the coliseum. That was bad, bad, bad news since we wanted to shout our lungs off and that would probably be quite an impossible feat with Green Archers around. Bottom line was--We cheer, we die. But luck was with us, since the ticket exchanging booth found two people who were Archers and were on the UST side. After two minutes, we were home, although the part we were sitting in were still dotted with a few archers.

Err..before we entered the Coliseum, we saw Joseph Yeo. And guess who was two seats behind us. Darn right. Joseph Yeo. Haha! The details of the first three quarters are quite gruesome for Thomasians. We were behind La Salle all the way. BUT! When all hope was gone, and everyone was already psyching themselves for a loss, wah!! UST made 11 points I think in less than two minutes! The game was tied at 69 when the buzzer sounded. We were jumping so hard, Rhea accidentally, or maybe intentionally tugged my blouse of and I was shoulder+bra strap naked for a while.haha!

UST won at overtime by I-can't-remember-how-many-points but I wasn't thinking about the numbers. What I was thinking about is that anything is possible if you really put your heart to it. As corny as it may sound, I think I learned a lesson. Haha! WOOT! As Coach Pido would say. Never say die!:)

Oh. And I can clearly remember telling Rhea the moment we sat down, "Sana may overtime."

I have an angel's tongue. (Dilang Anghel)...hehe..

Plus! JM was fantastic! Ang galing nia..:)

How?

Almost a month back since I last updated/blogged. I can almost see the cobwebs on the corners of the screen. Nah! Just kidding. I'd be downright scared if I see cobwebs in here. It would be a sign of some serious opthalmic disease I'd probably not want in this lifetime. Anyway, a lot has happened! A LOT. And I cannot remember everything. What I can remember clearly though, is every single conversation I had regarding, guess what?
THE FUTURE!

Mine.I mean.Or ours.Could be.

In just a few months, I would be marching and graduating and putting RPh at the end of my name! (RPh: Registered Pharmacist)..At nineteeen! Provided, of course that I pass the board examination. I'm eighteen years old right now. Good Lord! I'm basically a kid! Really I consider 18/19 as that! I'm not even legal yet! I am frightened by the responsibilities awaiting me. Especially now that both my parents are retired already and as I am the eldest, I am obliged to provide for US. For my family. The biggest responsibility in the world. So how am I going to do that at 19?

I am making a big deal of the age. I know. But I do have to chase after my dreams too, right? How paradoxical that I think I'm too young to work, but too old to do the things I really want. I am confused.

And.

Confusion is a bitch. The first-class kind.
(I was trying to be poetic. But I think I'll stick to less emotional variations of creative writing.)

This is a nice picture right?
Sorry.I just had to have one thing in here I am sure about.
GO FIGYUR.

Err..Scratch that last part. The picture won't cooperate.Comes out all blurry.

The Beginning

Highlights of the First Day of School:

1. OMFG!GLobal Warming is shitty. I stayed at school from about 7 am to 6 pm. I arrived at my house at about 7 pm only to be questioned by my mother, "Bket para kang nasunburn?" And when I looked at the darned mirror. I saw myself, almost comparable to a baked KAMOTE. I wasn't aware of the redness of my face. ANG INIT LORD!

2. Watching the first years queuing up while holding their registration forms is amusing.

3. People-watching as Judy would call it is bad for my soul but extremely good for temporary happiness.

4. I have fully developed an attraction, a fetish actually, over cute boys with shoulder bags. Let me make myself clear, those boys who actually look manly while carrying the bags. The bags actually compliment their masculinity, not the other way around. GAH! I wanna bite them. Haha!

5. My pharmacology professor have opened my eyes to the truth that we would be butchering frogs, rats, mice, turtles, pigeons and other unfortunate species of lesser importance this semester. It would also include incineration, cervical dislocation, asphyxiation by hyperbaric carbon dioxide and overdosage of anesthesia. RAWR!

6. I am calling the attention of anyone who knows a male commerce student, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with pale skin, amazingly almond shaped eyes and perfect bone structure. Please tell him I am available. HAHAHAHA! Ang gwapong bata tlga nun! He caught my eye!:)

By the end of the day, we already have scheduled quizzes, experiments and preparations. If you think first days are purely fun, think again.:)

Fanfiction

I'm reading, OMG, what an ugly font, wait, let me change it.There. Trebuchet is the best font ever. Haha! Anyway as I was saying. I'm reading AND writing fics again. Since I was in high school, I've loved reading fan fiction. It's just so amazing how a lot of people are such GOOD writers.I just love it!It's just so nice reading.

So the point is, I stayed up until about one yesterday night with me reading a fic and my sister watching television. We went up, unwillingly because my mother suddenly decided to wake up in the middle of the night just to question us, sarcastically at that if we wanted to go blind. Hehe. So we decided to go up. I found my brother sleeping in my bed so I went to lie down in his bed which happened to be beside Jermaine's bed. I'm gonna give you a minute to digest that. OK? DOne? So instead of sleeping, what we did was talk about things. I asked her about what the latest gossip was around our subdivision. BECAUSe! If you needed to know anything, and I MEAN ANYTHING about ANYONE on our subdivision, it's my sister you should ask. Not that she's actually the biggest gossip around. She just knows things.Clairvoyant maybe. OR maybe not.

Haha! So, unintentionally, we talked about couples. About who's with who, who broke up with who, and stuff like that. What pissed me off, is that from her stories, every freakin' 14 year old in here has got a freakin' boyfriend. Not that I am bitter. Really. NO. It's just that my no-boyfriend-since-birth self truly wonder. WONDER. AS IN WONDER. About what, I'm not sure. Maybe about the fact that at 18. I haven't done anything. NOt just the boyfriend thing. I haven't done anything!I feel like I'm wasting my young years behind. If I was a fly, I'd be in the molting stage you know? The stage where I won't grow anymore and forever live your life flying over trash cans or if you're really unlucky, be killed by some plastic swatter over a glass table.

What could I possibly do that would make me feel like I've achieved something? I TRULY WONDER.

We probably slept at around 2: 30 am, around time when my sister said my breath stinks already. Haha! I also had a weird dream last night. I dreamt that Syler, the psychotic character in HEROES was our neighbor and he was dead-set on killing us all. Talk about "magulo ang isip". Hehe. I definitely have a lot of things, bad things in my mind.

On the bright side, I have started a fic. I am writing again. Hehe. Just a few chapters pa lang, but still, the plot has been brewing in my mind for the longest time. I started just this afternoon. I finally decided to start this one even though I still have two fics hanging. O d b? Haha! I'm wishing myself good luck for this one. I really want to finish this. I must not have writer's block.

Hay. Just a few more days. Back to school. I hope something changes. Something, that word again.

I hate it.

Batch 2008

Last May 30, our 20-day hospital internship ended with a BANG. Hehe. Cliche. I know. But I couldn't find any other term that could be related to a hospital and still promote the same meaning. Get what I mean? Anyway, that means I would be having my long-awaited and fully deserved vacation.

May 31, however, wasn't considered to be vacation YET since it was enrollment and I had to go to school and officially become a senior. The day did not start well. The enrollment was supposed to be at 11 and unluckily I got hold of the check that would pay for my education at about 11:30 or so. I didn't know where my ID was so I was itching to just get past the guards and into the gymnasium, but MAN! The guard there was tough. Turns out we needed to get something to sign before we can go inside. I breathed since he wasn't looking for the ID. But then! After I signed the damn document, I was again in a hurry to get inside but apparently the god of luck turned its back on me and one of the guards decided to go almighty, "Miss yung id mo?". I answered back in an exasperated tone that it was with the hospital since they needed it for my certificate when I really had no idea of its whereabouts. He decided to go witty this time asking me that they, the hospital, had to have some kind of substitute for my id PLUS mocking me with his, "Di ba hindi ineentertain sa loob yung walang id?". FUCK OFF would you? I have been enrolling in here for years already and you say that to my face right now?! Haha! I got past the bastard anyway with myself shouting at him. The first time I have ever shouted at a guard. I was feeling guilty the whole day. HEHE.

SO. ONto the official start of my vacation. June 1. 12 more days to go before school starts. Depression and frustration started creeping in. YES. That early. I was getting nuts trying to figure out ways to amuse myself other than sleeping and watching Gray's Anatomy. I was getting nuts listening to my mother's continuous bickering. My father's and sister's constant fight over the freaking charger almost put me over my limit until my uncle sent me a wonderful text message: "Tin gusto mo ng digital copy ng Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?" HELL YES!! And so right this moment, I have already read half of the anticipated book. Haha! I know it probably was a stolen copy but I don't care! I need to amuse myself!! HAHA! Unfortuantely, the other half is yet to be downloaded. And with that, amusement is over.

I called Rhea yesterday to whine about how I see the days melting past with myself just sitting and putting things in my mouth. I want to go somewhere, ANYWHERE! Hay, I just probably would get myself enrolled in a dance class. Hehe. Yep, I originally planned for voice lessons but I want to get muscles and I wouldn't get that with singing right? Actually, I was to go look for classes here in the net but then I just found myself typing this ridiculously long entry oozing with negativity so I'd just end it here. I'll see you when I see you!:)

ON a slightly positive note: Happy Birthday Park Yoochun.:)

Square One

The number of my toes and fingers combined isn't enough to count the number of days since I have last updated in here. My last post was about something that I would remember forever but the physical souvenirs from that trip has already faded. Non-theatrically put, wala na kong sunburn. I was really busy this past month and I sometimes wish for that darker skin tone once again to convince myself that I have actually enjoyed the summer sun, sand and sea before I have confined myself into air-conditioned rooms wearing a laboratory gown.

If I closed my eyes a month ago, I would probably hear the waves crashing against the rocks and the shores. Right now, I close my eyes and hear an endless printing sound, the slight hum of a conveyor belt and let's not forget the not-so-distant&soft bang of a box against a stainless steel table. (This whole paragraph is actually a product of emotional instability right now, drama mode in other words..) But you get the point don't you? This is the most unsummer-summer of my entire life. If that made sense.

For those among you who actually reads this stuff and probably find it nonsensical, let me lay it down for you one by one. This is among those rare times where I get to go home an hour early. MAKATI is far away from home. BUt why don't we start from GENDRUGCHEM&CO.

I wanted to make a separate entry for my manufacturing internship. I actually had a title ready for it. Chronicles of a Twenty Day Internship. Obviously..I didn't manage to find the time to do it. Well, it didn't matter much since the manufacturing process itself wasn't at all interesting. We only experienced the latter part of that process. PACKAGING Behybi!YEah! Say that with me..BEYBI! Anyway, a lot of tiny tablets, capsules had to be counted and bottled, and then these bottles had to be labeled and these labeled bottles have to be boxed and these boxed labeled bottles had to be placed in even bigger boxes and then finally shipped into stores after undergoing several tests. Believe me, the work force behind every single Biogesic you take in is unbelievably huge. And take note that you buy that for a marked retail price of about three pesos. Not to mention the station preferences of the Kuya's and Ate's there. "Kausapin mo ang ingrown mo.." I almost believed an ingrown was capable of opinions or witty conversations. Yeng Constantino was also forever bawling in the background with her I-have-to-admit powerful voice. It's just that her songs started sounding the same to me. There was also the quest to find who JR Siaboc really was. The Love Radio jingle that was unwelcome in my head but nevertheless stayed there for quite a while and was coming out of my mouth at random times without my knowing. Some memorable people, gossip, the celebrities in there, feeding time every two hours and of course my friends made it a little more bearable. Ayshet ang haba na..:)

Now training at Makati Medical Center immediately a day after GenDrug was more culture shock than total burnout. In there, there were no Kuya's or Ate's only Maa'm's and Sir's. The three meals a day we were used to having at GENDRUG decreased to one. From having zero expense a day, it shot up to 200 pesos a day. From squished butts to squished heels. The difference is overwhelming. The only thing probably exciting in going there everyday is the prospect of riding the elevator with Issey. Take note that it is because of Rhea's shriek of envy: Ang swerte mo NEng! and Judy's shriek of utter disbelief: Baket di ko nakita?. Post Script: Issey is oppa material.

My last concern is something that cannot be reiterated or elaborated enough. I would probably not stop blabbing if I start with this one but I have to just let this out. I MISS DONG BANG SHIN KI WITH ALL MY HEART, MIND AND SOUL. I SHALL MAKE A STATEMENT FULL OF BIAS. JAEJOONGAH! FIGHTING!

dammit.cheesiest blog entry ever.probably the longest one too.

On the brighter side..13 more days to go sa Makati Med! Plus Mother's Day was nicely spent.:)

I wonder how many characters this blog entry has...hmm..?

S-E-N-I-O-R

After the hellest semester in my entire life..(obvious ba almost one month walang entry?)
I still refuse to believe that I shall be providing for my family come next year.
I can finally say good bye to Pharmacology, Quality Control, Manufacturing and OH YES! Pharmacognosy po!
On the down side..
Hello to the THESIS semester, Toxicology, Quality Control: The Next Level..(haha!), Dispensing (read: Trilogy cla ng Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms at Manufacturing) and some other minor subjects.
I was planning to burn all those handouts, photocopies, powepoint print-outs but that would be dangerous and would add to the pollution so I'm probably just gonna stack them up and sell them to some junk shop.
I'd take a picture before I throw them out of my life.
BWAHAHA!
I'm so happy this semester's over!

There's always a but to a happy story right?
I can't see myself working yet..GAH!
But I have to you see?
No choice eh..
Kunde mangangayayat mga dambuhala kong kapatid.
Probably I'd work for a few years as a flight stewardess..(LABO!Pharmacy ako d ba?)..since it pays well and I have no other use for my height aside from being summoned to get things in high places..HAHA!
I really want to study a cultural course in another country..(san kya un?)
Then I'd find a job or maybe put up a business with friends..(ui..remember CHRISPEERIBS?)

STOP!
I don't want to think about the future.HAHA!
We just have to let it happen.
I must concentrate first on passing college and THEN!
I must decide what I really want to do.:)

Korean Village

Happy Birthday RHEA!!
Thank you for making our dream come true.Haha!
That is eating on a table with a "hot plate" in the middle.BWahaha.
SHABU SHABU Anyone?!

Rhea, Zhar, Judy, Andrew and I got home at about 2:00 earlier this morning.
We celebrated Rhea's birthday and we got to eat a LOT.
I really don't know how to narrate our adventures so I'm just going to enumerate it.

1. EATING bulgogi, bibimbap, and you-know-that-meat-wrapped-in-cabbage-delicacy-that-you-get-to-stuck-in-your-mouth-whole?WAH!Get me back there this minute!
2. Timed stoplights are love since you get to take pictures in the middle of a pedestrian lane.
3. Junior-Senior Promenade Post-Party in Baywalk? High-schoolers just keep on getting weird-er and jologs-er by the minute.
4. The moon was spectacular!
5. That ecstatic male-female performer in Music 21...(read: I think he was on ecstasy)
6. The human-lottery machine has risen from the shadows. Rhea-sshi! You shall kill yourself with your bawling one of these days. Your vocal cords would just spontaneously give up on you.
7. KTV is one entertaining hobby. The order of perfomance: Judy, Zhar, Myself, Rhea, Andrew.
8. That cute baby outside of our booth. I hope he grows up to have healthy eardrums after that.
9. "Hindi gumagana ung isang mike dito.."-Rhea. I love you girl!HAHA!(GIRL?--KADIRI)

BONUS: We slept at Zhar's place. We were already sleeping for quite a while when I felt something heavy on my chest. I looked down and saw Zhar holding on to one boob of mine. Bwahahahaha!! She was really cupping it. I would have laughed out loud if I wasn't dead to the world. I just removed her hand and felt my chest become lighter. BWAHAHAHA! Zhar! Sumosobra ka na ah!:)

JUDY, ZHAR, ANDREW AND RHEA!!!- I wouldn't exchange the friendship we have for anything in this world. YES, even Jae Joong.BWAHAHA!

Dugong Pinoy

"Taste good?"
"Not too bitter?"
--The Lola behind me.:)

LET ME ELABORATE.

I had a funny experience just a few minutes ago.
While I was doing some..uh..last minute shopping.
I was wearing a blue jacket over a salmon-colored tank top.
I was wearing green pambahay shorts since whyever would you need to dress up for SM SAN LAZARO? Besides, I really just had to buy this something..

Anyway, when it was already my turn to pay and the cashier was already punching my items, (I bought eight Japanese-branded something-s..), this Lola behind me took one and asked me, "Taste good?", I was stunned because she was talking to me in English. I wondered maybe she did speak like that. But a second thought came to my mind. Maybe she thought I was Japanese?! And then she said, "Not too bitter?". I was just either shaking or nodding my head. Gusto ko sana sbhn, "Nagtatagalog po ako." But I thought it was her choice if she wanted to talk to strange people in English. Then she said, "Japanese?" I don't know if she was asking if I was Japanese, or if the merchandise was Japanese. I just nodded my head and then left with my plastic bag.HAHA!

This was the first time I was mistaken for a Japanese.HAHA!If my assumptions are correct.:)
Sbe ng tito ko..Bka kc sa dmet ko daw.
JUSKO NAKAPAMBAHAY NGA AKO EH.HAHA!
There was this time nman na Korean dw.
But most of the time, Chinese dw b ko?

I'm not.
Although I wish I could have had a little more of it than the mere 6.25% that runs through my veins. Hahaha! Or maybe just being fluent with the language would suffice.
There were actually two people who tried speaking to me in Chinese.
One was the bank manager of Banco de Oro - JAS Branch.
Another one, Dr. Ong, our dentist.HAHAHA!

Anyway. Just had to type that up because it really made me laugh.
ANd oh!

(Sets bitterness aside and wholeheartedly greets everyone a....)
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! :)
(Goes to her room and locks herself up with pictures of JaeJoong)

HAHAHAHA!
KIdding!
TRULY!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Estrella

Catch a Shooting Star and put it in your pocket.
Never let it fade away.

I want a Shooting Star and my wish would go like this.

Dearest Star,

I need to go to Korea.
Jae Joong is currently being seduced by some mediocre female he met at a concert.
I think I'm far more attractive than her.
Less hairy too.
And maybe I'm a bit more kissable than her.
She would probably eat Jae Joong alive and I must protect him!
So pretty please?

Love,
Christine

P.S.
Would you get him away from DAISY DUCK!!
